A piece of Los Angeles brought into the UAE.

Journey:
We had partnered with fellow food blogger, Hemangi for a breakfast event arranged by White Label Media.

Rating: 8 Golden Nuggets

Ambiance:
A diner tucked into a corner of Al Muneera resort overseeing the Al Raha beach. What more view goals are needed when you have the never ending water in sight and some natural light! Its a perfect place to hangout with friends or spend time with family. The decor is done well, offering a luxurious vibe whilst having the best comfort level taken care of in regards to seating be it chairs or opulent sofas for a larger group to be accommodated.

So how did the branch make its way in to the capital of UAE… Let’s find out!!

This is the first franchise of Berris in UAE, and we are hoping to see one of the outlets in Dubai as well.

It all started with Raphael Berry who conceptualized an eatery offering Mediterranean and Italian cuisines until daylight.

Both the vibes and food of Berris was the talk of the town once it opened to the public and finally the music, timing and late night environs got the title of best restaurant in Los Angeles which is a favorite spot for the celebrities as well.

Bite Board:

We had a set menu for the morning.

To start off with, we had some fresh juices and some smoothies.

Orange Juice: This was fresh and tasteful. We liked how it was presented in a small cocktail glass.

Berri’s Detox: A concoction of different fruits. We could taste the blueberry and raspberry but it was too sour for our taste. Hence, we could not finish the whole drink.

Coconut Berris Smoothie: Again a refreshing drink for the health conscious. Not so much for us since we are not big with the coconut flavor.

Moving on to the food

Florentine Benedict [AED 60]: We were expecting a runny yolk but what we were served was a well done egg that was topped on a roasted potato with a bed of baby spinach in between. It was yum and we could have a ton of those on our next visit.

Granola and Greek Yoghurt Parfait [AED 38]: This was another hit dish that we adored and devoured! The only thing we were not satisfied with was the overpowering flavor of banana towards the end. Other than that it was a well done item overall. The yoghurt was fresh, a slight tinge of honey and the blackberries garnished on them was the right add on. Overall, a dish we would recommend to everyone as it is not too sweet and a must try for the banana fans because you gonna go bananas after having it!

Burrata and Avocado Breakfast Toastie [AED 48]: A baguette slathered with avocado paste, burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes and garnished with egg, sunny side up.

Zaatar and Burrata Flatbread [AED 52]: A match made in heaven with just the right amount of zaatar and burrata cheese. It was garnished with pomegranate molasses and rocket leaves. A thin crunchy slice which bursts flavor of cheese and zaatar.

Ending with some sweet dishes!

French Toast [AED 50]: A well done slice of bread drizzled with chocolate sauce making it the best item for the chocoholics in town. Since we are chocolate addicts we hogged it up in no time.

Pancakes [AED 45/each]: We had the lotus and red velvet pancakes. They were fluffy, warm and just how we like them. The only downside we noted was that they were a little dry but the butter given along with it made them better. Also, we would have liked them even more if the lotus syrup was a bit more than what was given since it did not suffice for the amount of pancakes served.

Service:
The staff serving us was friendly and had a smile on their face throughout. We only had an issue with the waiting time for serving the dishes. Since, it was a weekend we can understand that the kitchen might not have been to handle the crowd so well.

A special shout out to Arpita for doing such a great job of managing everything so well!

Cash Outflow:
For the quality and the quantity the pricing is well justified.
