A fusion of Indian food!

We were invited by Anzia to try out their Iftar preview.

The moment you step in, you’re invited with beautiful decor at each corner and not to forget the amazing view of the beach if you choose the outdoors.

The setup is completely gorgeous which shows an archaic bungalow with rustic decor and antique collections that adds to the experience.

Not to miss out on the classic chandelier that provides a homely vibe with all the extravagant interiors.

We tried Indian Summer, 1000BC, Ancient Sanskrit and Weight of Gold. All the drinks were really unique with a touch of Indian spices added to all the drinks.

We loved rose flavored shake (1000BC), since our sweet tooth liked that the most, guess we aren’t in favor of spices in our drinks! But for the daring ones do not miss them out, you never know which might turn out to be your favorite.

The Iftar menu starts with a fresh fruits and dates platter, and lentil soup.

The lentil soup had a south indian sambar flavor. The texture was just perfect and trying it for the first time, we definitely LOVED it!

Bungalow Salad: A light and fresh beginning with mixed veggies, beetroot shavings drizzled with mint dressing.

Assorted Kebab & Tikka Platter: A serving of their best dishes. You get malai prawns with sweet mango dip, hariyali fish tikka along with passionfruit chutney, mutton kebab with mint dip and tandoori chicken with laban.

The seafood lovers will definitely enjoy the hariyali fish tikka which is so soft and juicy, add in the passionfruit dip and its a match made in heaven.

Moving on the meat, both chicken and mutton were a hit with the flavors being on point and perfectly cooked. No complaints just happy tastebuds is what you’ll have at the end of wiping the plate clean.

For the vegetarians its a platter with coconut seekh kebab, zataar paneer tikka with beetroot tahini and crisp samosas.

Have you ever heard of coconut and kebab combination? Yeah, we neither but its oh so good, that will leave you craving for more. The fusion concept was superb and tasted heavenly.

An Arabian twist to the conventional paneer tikka with zataar marination. The paneer was soft and cooked perfectly. Also, served with it the beetroot tahini which was a bit too sweet for our tastebuds but another impressive concoction.

1. Biryani: There are three options, chicken, mutton and vegetarian. A staple food for the Asians so nothing new here, the biryani was cooked well and tasted delightful. It served with a bowl of raita because a biryani is incomplete without one.

2. Dal Tadka/Makhani: This was your regular dal makhni, that is liberal with butter, which complemented the fresh baked breads.

3. Lamb Rogan Gosh: The meat was succulent and cooked to perfection.

4. Butter Chicken: You cannot go wrong with one of the common favorite Indian dishes. A rich and creamy tomato based gravy with chunks of juicy grilled chicken that is paired with some soft warm butter naan makes for a happy tummy.

A platter with mango kulfi, gulab jamun and ras malai. A sweet ending to a wholesome meal.

We separately ordered the famous Gulab Jamun Chocolate Cheesecake out of the menu which, was the best decision. It was super delicious and got over within no time, so that should answer your question of whether we liked it or not! Give it a try and thank us later.

Note: Only water is part of the set menu, the drinks are not inclusive and needs to be ordered separately.

The servers were friendly and made sure we had a great time. A little work is required on the time the food is served other than that its all good.

The manager also makes sure everything goes smoothly from time to time which adds points!

Cash Outflow:
This set menu is priced at AED 110 for the month of Ramadan.
