Wok it All
After listening to everyone talk about it, we decided to try it for ourselves and see what’s the magic all about. We went for a late dinner after work during the weekend.
It has a hole in the wall concept with outdoor seating only. The best part would be the larger than life grafitti wall adorned with all aspects of Dubai including the Burj Khalifa along with their name in graved in between. The outdoor seating is perfect for the winter season, during the soaring temperatures in Dubai we would not recommend it but you could always order in!

Drinks: We had the fresh coconut water and watermelon juice since orange was not available. We felt it was not quite fresh but on another day might just complement the meals well.
Starters: We tried their signature dish which was the spicy Korean Wings, Sui Mai (Prawns) and spring rolls.
The Korean wings were an absolute pleasure to wolf down. We are spice crazed foodies, so this was just the perfect thing which we could not resist the moment they arrived to our table. The sauce was perfect and the spice notes were bang on. Get ready to get messy because the sauce is overloaded with the meat being succulent, it’s a recipe that Wok Boyz have managed to crack it well.

The rolls were done well. We have tried spring rolls at quite a lot of places, but this beats everything. The crisp texture and the filling being just right makes it for an amazing starter for the vegetarians as well as the non-vegetarians to munch on.
Sui Mai Prawns: A great starter option served with a side of soy sauce. It’s a classic dim sum with a well balanced flavour that’s perfectly cooked
Woks: The uniqueness is that they are completely customizable. Be it the base, proteins, toppings or dressing. You have complete control over the meal, which is not the usual case with street food.

We got the egg noodles in Wok Boyz sauce with chicken, broccoli and shitake mushrooms. We felt that the sauce didn’t pack enough heat as we expected. Also, the noodles were quite greasy which didn’t appeal to us.
Dessert: They have only one dessert which is mango sticky rice pudding. We were not impressed by it because the combination didn’t sit well with us, as the mangoes were not flavourful and the rice was clumped together.
We felt like they are more focused on getting the delivery orders right, then paying attention to in-house customers. We had to wait for quite some time to get our order across.
We did drop by again for we could not resist having those wings but the sad part was no one was bothered to take the order or show any interest either.
We found that the price is reasonable for the portions offered.
For those wings, we shall make time to drop by again.
