Sharing the Parsi flavors with Dubai!

We were invited to attend a bloggers meet and were excited to explore the parsi cuisine.

It is a decent sized restaurant located in Karama. The dim lighting is fine when you are just dining and not when you click pictures. You have a large window, showing off the kitchen. The music is nice and light which perfectly compliments its laid back family style atmosphere.


It is run by a Parsi couple who decided to cater the parsi cuisine to the people of Dubai. They believe in having a simple menu and offering a homemade taste to the food served here.

Bite Board

We started off with a lemon mint drink which was refreshing.

Dhansak & Prawn Arancini: A modern take on every Parsi household’s staple dish; Dhansak. You’re served arancini balls (crispy rice balls) with a dollop of delicious dhansak on top or a prawn on top in the other version. These are bite sized portions which are like mini flavor bombs cause they’re so delicious!

Russian Pattice: A finger lickin pattice stuffed with chicken, mashed potatoes, onions and other spices. It’s a perfect snack option to eat by itself or as a side dish. The flavour hits close to home. Highly recommend trying this out.

KB_Patra Ni Macchi

Patra Ni Machi: This is a simple steamed cooked Pomfret in a banana leaf coated with mint and coconut chutney. The fish was cooked perfectly. We found it a little too sweet for our taste though. That being said it’s a pretty good option to try.

Fish Seekh Kebabs: Something definitely out of the box here. The fish was cooked and marinated perfectly. The flavours were all there its just that we didn’t like the texture of the fish as it felt a little rubbery.

KB_Malai Boti

Chicken Malai Boti: Yumm! This was creamy, aromatic and looked perfect! After a couple of bites we felt it was slightly over cooked but besides that we absolutely loved the taste!

KB_Mutton Seekh Kebab

Mutton Seekh Kebab: Juicy pieces of kebab on a sizzling platter served along with a mint dip. Our only complaint would be the raw onions, other than that it was just right with the flavors.


Dhansak: A traditional Parsi dish that is onion caramelized dal rice served along with mutton curry which has a similar flavor to the dal gosht what we are used to having at home. By the time we tried this dish, we were quite stuffed with all the kebabs and starters but still couldn’t help ourselves from taking two servings of the dhansak.

Lagan Nu Custard: This dessert deserves a standing ovation! It’s said to be a must at all Parsi Weddings and now we know why. It’s a mix of eggs and milk baked into this delicious dessert! If the other dishes above hasn’t tempted you to stop by here this one will surely keep you coming back here several rounds more.

The servers were warm and friendly. A little more speed would have been better but then that’s just us.

Circling Back:
We shall be back for more of the Russian pattice and try other items.
