Have you heard of that place yet?
Our friend Hemangi and I went for a lunch date on a weekend.
It is a small outlet tucked in the streets of Karama that can accommodate up to 20 people. With a glass door entrance creates a lot of natural lighting during the day making those food shots come alive. We loved the blend of turquoise and pink for the interiors. If Spanish music is your vibe then you shall be singing along. Did we mention about the board games? Oh yes, lots of options to play until the food arrives at your table. Everyone knows our love for board games, hence the brownie points for it. For those who follow us on Instagram will know the back story of our UNO games, like four matches and we could have kept playing.

We began the afternoon with a passion fruit mojito and lotus milkshake. We loved the lotus milkshake! Had the right texture and tasted great. For the passion fruit mojito, initially it tasted really bitter but the kitchen rectified it immediately by making a second one but it wasn’t a regular mojito so it was a miss for us.
Yalla Fries [AED 22]: Oman chips and cheese is a heavenly combination add along some crisp fries and you’ve got a winner! Our suggestion would be to layer the chips and cheese evenly as the fries at the bottom didn’t have any toppings left. Great portion size that could be easily shared among 2-3 people.
Mushroom Dancers [AED 18]: This was part of their new menu where you can switch the traditional bun into a flatbread version instead at an extra cost of AED 4. You can even opt to make the bread crispy if you like and that is what we did and turned out to be amazing! The flatbread is served along with an Italian sauce that does wonders to the dish and makes for a great combination.

Have you come across that place in #Karama yet? For those of you living under the rock or in a parallel world let us 👭 introduce you to @thatplacedxb! Beware it is solely meant for the people who won’t crib about the #carbs. Featuring the #signature Vada Cheese Bomb [AED 12] which has been recreated from the classic #Vadapav that is loved by all. Thank you @hemangiramani ❤️ for the invite 🙌🏻. Also, you can avail 20% discount with @travellerpassglobal app.
Vada Cheese Bomb [AED 12]: One of their best-sellers for the vegetarians. The classic regular vada pav has been transformed into a cheesy goodness. Each bite leaves you wanting for more and is truly recommended by us!
Dream Come True [AED 34]: Interesting and quirky name there. A massive dessert and a total hit for the chocholics in town. You get a bun stuffed with Nutella topped with edible glitter and a piece of Ferrero Rocher along with two chunks of chocolate cake garnished with vanilla ice-cream and sprinkled with edible glitter. We would have liked it better if the cake was a bit more moist. Overall, loved the whole combination as it is a chocolate overdose and gives you crazy sugar rush if you manage to eat this by yourself which we highly doubt! We meant what we said, that it was literally massive.
The staff was pleasant and did a great job.
We found some of the dishes to be slightly over-priced but for most part of the menu it was quite reasonable and for the portions being served it definitely does justice.
We shall be back to try some of the non-veg buns soon!
