Wok’s Den

In the mood for a modern twist on pan Asian cuisine, then this is just the place for you!

Journey:
We were super excited to try out this fairly young restaurant on the Jumeriah beach road and we even more pumped when we found out they were serving our favorite wok style pan asian cuisine.

Ambiance:
The restaurant has a dark theme with lovely colorful asian inspired murals adorning its walls. They have an open kitchen and an outdoor seating area as well for when the climate is a bit cooler. The music is good and entire vibe of the place just lifts the mood up.

The restaurant is quaint and cozy with a great ambiance. Definitely, the perfect spot to meet up with friends or family or even grab lunch or dinner with colleagues.

First off, they have a Make Your Own Wok section where in just 5 steps you get to build up on your own choice of proteins, veggies, sauces etc to come up with a wok that’s unique to your taste. Exciting much?

Drinks:

WD_Passion Fruit Bubble Tea

Passion Fruit Bubble Tea [AED 18]: We love Bubble Tea and sort of took a risk at trying out the passion fruit version. Albeit the initial taste wasn’t amazing, but it turned out to be a lot better with every sip.

WD_Apple Kiwi Mojito

Apple Kiwi Mojito [AED 13]: With the onset of Dubai’s summer, this was our saving grace. It was super refreshing and the perfect drink to pair the rest of our meals with.

WD_Pistachio Shake

Pistachio Milkshake: We’re on a pistachio high and this shake isn’t bringing us down anytime soon. It is super yummy, not too thick nor too thin, just the right consistency.

STARTERS

WD_Tempura Prawns

Tempura Prawns [AED 49]: Delicious! No complains about this. Crispy shrimps that are battered fried with a lovely tempura sauce. Ah perfection! It’s the perfect starter.

WD_Mongolian Wings

Mongolian Chicken wings [AED 39]: We are a sucker for good wings and Woks Den did not disappoint! Juicy and delectable wings coated in a delicious sauce. How did it get over so soon is still something we ask ourselves today?

MAINS

WD_Dens Schezuan Egg Fried Rice

Den’s Szechuan Fried Rice w egg [AED 31]: It was full of flavor, perfectly cooked rice and a tad bit spicy which we aren’t complaining about. It complimented the other semi gravy mains well.

Burnt Garlic Chicken [AED 45]: A warm bowl of delicious burnt garlic sauce with stir fried chicken and perfectly cooked veggies like peppers, broccoli and baby corn. We loved it, the flavors were spot on and it felt wholesome.

Korean BBQ Beef [AED 57]: A bowl of juicy beef slices tossed in the Korean BBQ sauce making it sweet and sour. We would have preferred a bit more spice but that’s because we prefer the heat mode on high. The dish was impeccably cooked and went well with the fried rice.

DESSERTS

WD_Fried Ice Cream

Fried Ice Cream [AED 22]: Normally we have had fried ice cream with a bread/cake exterior but this one is served with a fried coconut shavings exterior which tasted even better. We loved this twist to fried ice cream. It was delicious!

Service:
The servers were quick on their feet and made sure we had a great experience.

Circling Back:
