Mango Mania Festival

We were invited by Diksha for a bloggers meet.

Run by a mother daughter duo, you will find some dishes you can relate to with the homely vibe. IF that’s what you are looking for with a casual atmosphere you have come to the right place.

It is one of the cozy cafes located along the streets of Karama. With dim lighting, quirky quotes and diner style seating made it a decent place to catch up with friends. They also have board games to keep you distracted till the food comes to your table.

KC_Mango Drinks

Mango Shake & Lassi: For all the mango lovers, here is a summer treat to savor for all. We felt that the lassi was lacking that balance of sweet and sour combination, so a little more yoghurt should do the trick. Whereas, the shake has the right thick texture and sweetness. We are not huge fans of mango, so it did not impress us much, but for the mango maniacs do give it a shot.

KC_Aloo Tikki Sandwich

Aloo Tikki Sandwich [AED 12]: A grilled sandwich with potato filling. Something to snack on which could be easily made at home as well.

KC_Chicken Achari Paratha

Chicken Achari Paratha [AED 19]: One of our favorite combinations served in a paratha. The pickle flavor was subtle and can be tried by people who don’t usually order something spicy. Though, we would have preferred it to be a bit more spicy.

KC_Yakni Pulao

Yakni Pulao [AED 30]: When you are missing your mom’s handmade creations, this would be the next best thing to try. It was served with a spicy green chutney, raita and a salad. The rice was cooked well, but the chicken was slightly overcooked. Overall, when you mix all the three things together, you get some amazing flavors with spice and everything nice.

KC_Muttar Pulao

The doppelganger of this is the vegetarian version Muttar Pulao [AED 30] which was enjoyed by everyone.

Mango Cream: There is no end to a meal without some dessert and for this mango season, they have come up with mango cream. The texture was that of a mousse topped with whipped cream and a mint leaf. When you scoop right at the bottom you get pieces of mango as a special treat. It was creamy, rich and definitely something that would be adored by all the mango lovers.

PS: The Mango Mania Festival is up until 31st August only, so hurry and make your plans ASAP.

We found the service to be a tad bit slow, but the staff was friendly and courteous.

Cash Outflow:
The prices are decent. They are also listed on Zomato Gold as well.

Circling Back:
we will be back if something new on the menu comes up.
